Honoring the Horses Who Helped Us Grow

For 20 years, Natural Freedom has been a place where people and horses come together to learn, heal, grow, and discover new possibilities.

At the heart of that journey have always been the horses.

Some came to us as show horses. Some came as companions, teachers, or family horses. Others arrived with challenges of their own. But each one found a way to make a difference.

The Natural Freedom Story Trail was created to honor the remarkable horses—past and present—who have played an important role in helping our community. Their stories are filled with courage, trust, friendship, perseverance, and unconditional connection.

As you follow the trail, you’ll meet horses who helped children discover confidence, supported individuals through difficult times, welcomed those who felt different, and taught us that healing can happen in unexpected ways.

You’ll hear about horses who competed in show rings, horses who became therapy partners, horses who helped build Natural Freedom from the ground up, and horses who simply had a special way of making people feel safe and seen.

Each story is different. But together, they tell a bigger story—the story of Natural Freedom.

This trail is dedicated to the horses who have touched lives, changed hearts, and helped make this community what it is today.

As we celebrate 20 years of Natural Freedom, we invite you to slow down, walk the trail, and get to know some of the horses who helped us along the way.

Their hoofprints may fade from the paths they walked, but the lives they touched leave a lasting mark.

Honoring the horses of our past.

Celebrating the horses of today.

Welcoming the horses who will carry our story forward.
