LaTicia Jeffers, BSC, ESMHL, QMHS

LaTicia Jeffers is currently remote as she is pursuing her Masters in Social Work degree at the University of Houston. She is a member of the Mental Health Advance Practice in Social Work - Focused Learning Opportunity (MHAPS FLO), and a UH GCSW Ambassador for the program. LaTicia is a graduate of Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication with a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies. Her related areas of studies include Deaf Studies and Interpreting, and a Marketing Minor. She is a PATH International Certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) with 20+ years of equine experience. She is also certified through Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga - Facilitator (TCTSY-F) from the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at JRI.

LaTicia has sat on the Ohio Paint Horse Club Board of Directors, Athens County Youth MOVE Steering Committee, and as the member representative of Meigs County Intersystems Committee, the Gallia, Meigs, & Jackson Suicide Prevention Coalitions, and Gallia CPR-Anti Human Trafficking Coalition for Natural Freedom Wellness Center. LaTicia has held a position at Natural Freedom Wellness Center since 2010. Starting out as an Equine Specialist and upon returning to school she accepted the position of Communication Director. LaTicia has 10+ years of experience working with at-risk youth, adults, and individuals with various abilities and backgrounds. As the Communication Director and now as the Communication Assistant of Natural Freedom Wellness Center; LaTicia’s focus is to better communicate with the community as well as other organizations about Natural Freedom Wellness Center. LaTicia holds a passion for not only for serving and empowering individuals also creative ways to collaborate with various organizations in order to best serve our communities and educate the general public on the Equine-Assisted Services(EAS) Industry.
