Kenna Hambel, LPC

Kenna Hambel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and alumni of Ohio University.  As a lifelong advocate and student of mental health, she aspires to aid people in their pursuit to better themselves.
Kenna grew up in Glouster, Ohio where she learned to appreciate the healing power of nature. As a youth, she became interested in the science of the mind and the art of storytelling. After she obtained her bachelor’s degrees in psychology and creative writing, she taught GED classes through the Aspire program for 7 years. There she worked with a variety of youths and adults who shared both their academic and personal struggles with her. It was through this work that Kenna realized her passion for working alongside individuals on their journey to self-empowerment.
Kenna now combines her experience and interests to provide nature-based, walk & talk counseling services. She also offers EMDR as a clinician who has completed her EMDRIA™ Approved EMDR Basic Training.
In her free time Kenna enjoys being outside, writing, painting, playing video games, and spending time with her family.
